Greetings!  I became the pastor at Sedgefield Church in July, 2021 and I believe we have a wonderful future ahead of us as we work together to follow Jesus wherever he leads us.

I am originally from Lexington, Kentucky, but have been in North Carolina for over 30 years. I received my BA in Religion from Centre College in Kentucky and my Master of Divinity degree from Duke University.  I have served churches in Greensboro, Asheboro, Sydney (Australia), Morganton, and most recently, Pineville. I am married to Amelia, who is also a United Methodist Pastor – she is the Senior Pastor at Memorial UMC in East Charlotte. We have two children, Kyra and Evan. Kyra attends Emory and Henry College in Virginia and Evan is a student at South Meck High School. I am an avid football and basketball fan. I root for the Panthers, the Hornets, Duke, and Kentucky. I am an animal lover, also – we have a tuxedo cat named Theo, who brings us great joy.
