Director Children's Ministries

I have been a member of Sedgefield United Methodist Church for over 30 years.  I teach Children’s Sunday School, direct VBS, and organize all children’s activities.  I have held the position of Director of Children’s Ministries since February 2014.

I was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina.  I graduated from Anderson University and Lander University with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  I taught elementary school for 36 years in the South Carolina and North Carolina Public Schools.  I retired from Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools in June 2013.

My husband, Jim, and I have two children and two grandchildren.  I enjoy going to the beach, visiting family and friends in Anderson, shopping, reading, and spending time with my grandchildren.
