SUMMARY:Holy Communion & Food Collection
DESCRIPTION:The first Sunday of the month we receive Holy Communion. The table of Holy Communion is Christ’s table\, not the table of The United Methodist Church or of the local congregation. The table is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ’s love and to lead a new life of peace and love. We use the method of intinction\, where you will be given a piece of bread\, representing the body of Christ. You will then dip the bread into a chalice of juice\, representing the blood of Christ given for you. A gluten free option is available if needed. \nAs you approach the alter for communion\, you are invited to bring an offering of canned food to be donated to Loaves and Fishes.
